Craftie Weather Unit Posted

Our Craftie Weather Unit is up and posted on TPT!  This unit hits many of the weather common core standards.  The kids loved this unit and took lots of "crafties" home for parents to see the learning that we did throughout this unit.  This unit also gives you a list of literature books to go along with some of the weather standards.  If you want a direct link then click here:  Craftie Weather Unit.

Conferences are Monday and Tuesday this week.  So, it will be another long week.  It will be worth is when we are walking out with the kids on Monday night during that Thanksgiving week.

This week we are focusing on Living/Nonliving things with a twist on pumpkins.

Here are some pictures from our Craftie Weather Unit.
Sample of our seasonal windsocks that we made to watch how the wind blows during different seasons.

A second grade student placing the weather hat that he made onto a kindergarten student.

Don't those faces tell how proud they are to share with one another.

A student just bursting at the seams to go home and share her weather unit projects!

Our class picture of our weather hats.
Another sample of a weather craftie that we did to describe the different types of weather.  These were so much fun to make.  Students took these weather books home to share
with family and friends.

Different types of weather hats.

More types of weather hats for us to wear.

An umbrella to show when it is a rainy day.

My kids just loved all of these weather projects we did throughout this Craftie Weather Unit.  Not only were they having fun, they were learning several of the weather common core standards for science.  A Win-Win for both the kids and myself!!

Adorable unit! Here in Ohio we have all kinds of weather. I especially love the beanie with the "propeller" on top! Thanks for the ideas and the cute pictures. Renee

These ideas are great! I hope you will have time to relax after all the conferences! Any chance you would be able to list the ideas you shared with parents at their conference time with you! I am always looking for new ideas to have ready for conference time. IF you have time to reply, I would appreciate it. Maybe you have these listed on TPT?!!!
Thanks again for your help!
